After the earthworks are completed, the house set out is created on the block by concreters or surveyors.
A house set out is the process of transferring the drawn plans of the house to the block.
The correct block and boundary of that block is confirmed by conducting a boundary survey.
What does it involve?
The surveyor uses a piece of equipment called a ‘total station,’ which assists the surveyors to correctly transfer the coordinates of the building plans.
The house plans coordinates are then ‘set out’ using pegs, string and spray paint.
