Overview:

Ventura ID designed and built a 48 unit development in Butler in three stages - 10, 16 and then 22 dwellings. The ID design team negotiated with the local shire to get approvals to maximise the shire's guidelines.

Development Details:

Ventura ID utilised the space available in this site by combining strata and green title blocks to cater for different types of end users. To maximise the usage of space Ventura ID obtained approval by the shire to have reduced setbacks and in some examples combined car bay areas with outside living areas similar to the styles built in Melbourne.

This unique development made use of party walls. To assist with sound-proofing the width of the cavity was increased, thicker plaster was applied to the walls and Fastwall bricks were used instead of common bricks. The result was an efficient development that made the most out of the space available.
